MORE details on accommodation opportunities:

Option 1:
Homestay with a host family

With this option, students will have a private room in the house or apartment of a Polish host family. This option may be attractive to students who wish to experience a more complete "immersion" into Polish language. This option is not recommended for those language students who wish to have complete privacy during their stay (as all facilities will be shared) or for those who may be exploring the city into the late hours, but may be attractive to those on a "shoe-string" budget as this option is less expensive than the student hostel or pension accommodation. Since we care very much about the good standard our host families must take part in a screening process to prove their suitability. This includes a personal interview in their home with one of our coordinators and also providing referees. Families must live in Krakow, preferably in walking distance to our school. What all our host families have in common is their willingness to welcome our students into their home and offer them a warm, caring supportive environment.

Option 2:
PROLOG Residential accommodation

PROLOG has converted two spacious apartments into comfortable residences for its Polish students. These apartments are very conveniently situated in the city centre (ul. Starowi¶lna and ul. Felicjanek). Pleasantly styled and decorated, facilities include a sitting room with TV, a communal kitchen and a washing machine. There is a telephone accepting incoming calls in each residence.
The 4 and 3 rooms comprising our accommodation are normally let as singles. Some large rooms are, however, furnished as twins and can be booked by 2 people wishing to share together. Rooms are cleaned regularly, at least twice a week. Bed-linen is provided. Guests are requested to bring their own towels. (Available till 31st August 2007)

We also offer a new opportunity to stay in the PROLOG residential apartment this year! A spacious apartment situated only minutes away from PROLOG and 10-12 minutes by tram from the city center (5 tram stops). This flat comprises of two levels and has 3 comfortable bedrooms for incoming students, large living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, additional toilet and dressing room. There are there bedrooms available for PROLOG students: one at the bottom level (12 m2) and two at the top level (12 m2 and 22 m2). All rooms can be locked. At bottom level there is a large, common living room with kitchen, balcony, one bedroom and separate toilet. Kitchen is equipped with large refrigerator, electric cooker with oven. On the top level there are two bedrooms, bathroom with washing machine and dressing room. There is a wireless internet connection available in this apartment and satellite TV. Bed linen is provided. Guests are requested to bring their own towels. (Available till 30th September 2007)

Option 3:
Pension accommodation

Two spacious flats in the city center in old Krakow tenement houses have been converted in comfortable pension accommodation. These flats are very conveniently situated in the city centre (ul. Skłodowskiej, in only 5 minutes walking distance to the railway station). Pleasantly styled and decorated, facilities include a communal kitchen and bedrooms. This is a perfect option for those who wish to make most of the stay in Krakow. Rooms are cleaned regularly, at least twice a week. Bed-linen and towels are provided. Located in a side alley with rooms outlooking a courtyard guarantee silence and pleasant stay despite being in the city center.

Option 4:
D.S. Bydgoska Student Hostel

The third accommodation option is in the D.S. Bydgoska Student Hostel, a safe, clean and reasonably priced student hostel that is located in the same area of the school. It is only minutes away from the language school by foot and a short 10-12 minute (5 stops) tram ride to the historic centre of Krakow. In the winter time there are only single rooms available with bathroom/WC and a communal kitchen to be shared with and adjacent double room. Facilities in this student hotel include a post office, a unisex hair salon, a TV room, a computer room with internet access and an elegant restaurant on the premises. The restaurant, "Eden" has complete dining and bar facilities, an outdoor beer garden and very reasonably priced and high quality Polish and Continental cuisine http://www.bydgoska.bratniak.krakow.pl/html/index.php?id=1&lang=en.

Option 5
SODISPAR Aparthotel & Apartments in Krakow Old Town

The fourth accommodation option offered is that of SODISPAR Apartments. The Prolog Language School may assist the course participants in booking the rooms. However, you can make reservations on your own through the website: www.sodispar.pl. Sodispar offers private apartment accommodation alternative to hotels in Krakow. The apartments are conveniently located in the city center and fully equipped with washing machine, kitchen equipment, TV Sat, telephone (free incoming calls, outgoing calls via TELEPIN phone card).
